Cyanotype is an old photographic printing process whereby images are exposed in sunlight and processed in water to produce beautiful blue cyan coloured prints. It was developed in the 1800’s and often used for architectural drawings and is where the term ‘blueprint’ comes from!
Available in:
- Canach - made using bog cotton, or 'canach' in Scottish Gaelic, which is prevalent in the Highlands during the spring and summer months.
- Grasses
- Machair - made using a variety of machair flowers, the piece of land that stretches from my in-law's house to the sea on the Isle of Lewis, featuring buttercups, bog cotton and many more.
They are A4 size (210mm x 297mm)
The prints are of an original cyanotype on 300gsm textured Fresco Gesso paper and comes unmounted and unframed.
Packaged in a protective sleeve with board backing. The packaging is 100% eco-friendly and can be recycled or composted.
