Caitlin Sparks studied textile design specialising in print at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design. All her work is currently designed from her home studio in Glasgow.

Originally from St Andrews, the East Neuk of Fife's idyllic fishing villages inspire her designs, as she spent a lot of time there growing up. Design ideas stem from wanders along the East Neuk’s coastal path, through harbours that were once home to a bustling fishing industry. Marks and textures from worn buoys and weathered boats are drawn using a different range of media.

Designs start to take shape through screen printing, collage and finally photoshop. Fabric and melamine products are then brought to life by a UK family run business known for their high quality manufacturing. The end result is fun bold designs placed on everyday products.
